According to the
Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, a home fire sprinkler system, when coupled
with smoke alarms, can reduce the risk of death by fire in a home by 82%
while adding only 1-1.5% to the total building cost in new construction.
Using a fraction of the water used by fire department hoses, a sprinkler
system can contain and often extinguish a fire before firefighters arrive
on the scene.
Quality sprinkler systems require quality components. Noveon’s Blazemaster® pipe and fittings are the new standard in fire sprinkler protection. This CPVC piping eliminates scaling and corrosion problems that can plague metal pipes. It provides superior flow characteristics and low flame and smoke characteristics. It’s ideal for cold weather and retrofit construction projects, and is designed for a 50-year life expectancy. The development of CPVC pipe has simplified installation and made sprinkler systems more cost-effective. In markets where sprinklers have become commonplace, the cost per square foot has fallen significantly. Viking sprinklers emphasize life safety and dependability as well as an attractive appearance. Viking’s newest sprinkler, the Mirage Concealed, has the industry’s smallest cover plate while delivering up to 18x18-foot coverage. The Horizon and Microfast sprinkler models offer sleek, low profiles, plus impressive response rates. The Horizon Residential is the only residential sprinkler to earn FM approval.
